Despite the many hats that I’ve worn over the years, I simply can’t escape the fact that I love (as in, am really, truly deeply obsessed with) home design. As a kid, I would continually re-arrange and re-imagine my parents’ home décor (helpful, maybe?….annoying, definitely!). Then came the adult sister who would, at a nanosecond’s notice, use any mode of transportation available to find a way to her siblings’ homes to engage in a little shelter therapy (and/or triage as the case may be). There have also been my own spaces to painstakingly put together piece by over-thought piece (each project bolstered by a metric ton of torn-out-magazine pages holding court in too-many-to-count file folders). And in between all of this, I have been blessed with not only living in some of the most vibrant, gorgeous cities in the world (aka Los Angeles, Santa Barbara & San Francisco), but have had the good fortune to travel to (and be inspired by) every continent on the globe (except Antarctica…but I hear they’re a little short on good design down there anyway).
So at the end of the day, there is just too much good stuff out there to keep to myself, and I’d love to share it with anyone who is willing to show up here at the highlow and indulge my musings on the things that get my design heart rate up.
